Champhai a bustling little town on the east corner of Mizoram and also shares its international boundary with Republic of Myanmar. Champhai is also known as “Rice Bowl of Mizoram” lies on the top of a hill, surrounded by valley and beautiful vineyards, interesting and intriguing places to make your visit worthwhile.

It is accessible by road, from the Capital Aizawl within a short span of just 4 hours.. thanks to the Ministry of Road Transport.

It is also accessible by Helicopter to make your journey smooth and shorter. 🚁

  1. RIH DIL : Rih Dil – Rih Lake which holds an emotional , traditional and cultural spiritual beliefs and attachment to the Mizo is located in Myanmar. One can visit by a day trip.
  2. MUALNUAM : Located in the valley of Champhai. It is most beautiful during Monsoon and is an ideal place to enjoy peace and tranquility with loved ones.
  3. CHAMPHAI WINERY : Experience the mesmerising beauty of Champhai Vineyard. Grape harvesting, Grape stomping, also known as pigeage or grape treading, Wine Tasting. Best time to visit July – August.
  4. VANGCHHIA : A day trip from Champhai lies the ruins and relics of early Mizos. An insightful remains of menhirs and rain water harvesting system curved out from solid rocks.
  5. LIANCHHIARI LUNGLEN TLANG : A trip to mount Lianchhiari Lunglen Tlang is a must on the itinerary. It carry the legendary love story of Lianchhiari and Chanwgfianga, which would definitely melt your heart.
  6. COSMOS FESTIVAL : A must to witness, and see the bursting of Cosmos in and around the valley and hills of Champhai in October. Look out for activity like cycling, angling, Paragliding, nature walk.
