Wild Flowers of Mizoram, Mizos have deep and sentimental connection with these wild flowers. Senhri – Red Vanda is the State flower. The month of March is named after the flower Vaube – bauhinia variegata. These flowers plays a significant role in enriching the Literature, and many of the renowned Mizo poets have created their masterpiece with their resounding beauty. Tlaizawng Par – Prunas Puddum, with its rare and consuming beauty, renowned Poet Vankhama penned down, of its beauty, almost as beautiful as youth in her bloom.

 

These wild flowers bloom in all their beauty from the month of November to March, which is an enchanting and captivating works of nature, They are cherished and valued as they play a vital role in the culture and heritage of the Mizos.
